Harrison County government should have about 7.11 percent more revenues to work with in attempting to meet a variety of needs for the upcoming budget year.
County commissioners on Monday morning held the second of two required public hearings on the proposed budget. No one showed up to comment either for or against the proposal which should bring in an estimated $1.04 million in additional revenue next year.
Harrison County Judge Wayne McWhorter said the hearing was part of the county's budgeting process.
