Camp Fern going strong after 71 years of serving up fun

By BENJAMIN FORT, News Messenger The oldest camp in Harrison County isn't showing any signs of age as it settles into its 71st year. Camp Fern, which now possibly has fourth generation campers, is currently serving 121 campers ages 7 through 15, according to Cory Armstrong, director of the 2005 boy's camp.
Children join camp from as far away as Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Mexico City, South America and other places and many are grandchildren of Camp Fern veterans.
