Court TV:
Two freelance writers representing Court TV conducted a video interview with a local man about his prototype Marshall/Harrison County Re-entry Project yesterday.
Jessica Blank and Erick Jensen spoke with Roderick Keith Johnson, a victim of prison violence who hopes to help establish an effective re-entry system within the Harrison County area.
People leaving prison and jail have a complex set of needs, which often serve as barriers to successful re-entry, according to Johnson. These needs range from dealing with poverty to severe mental illness.
Johnson's goal is to connect every available resource and service within the Harrison County community and build vital linkage systems to make the local social service system more effective.
