Some Oak Trails Nature Park-area residents have stated their unhappiness over the city's proposed park renovation and fishing lake.
But their opposition hasn't even phased Marshall Metro Rotary Club members.
Club president Walter Fugler said Monday Metro members have raised slightly more than $5,000 for the project and they are applying for a $25,000 Entergy Power grant.
The club has offered to finance the relocation of a sewer main so the city can create a fishing lake. Local businessman Ken Carlile has offered to lend a bulldozer for the project.
