Based on early feedback, organizers saw a need for a full time spokesperson. Today organizers announced the selection of Billy Bob Ray for the position.

When asked why he was selected, the selection committee chairman said “ Well, Billy Bob had showed back up in town, is unemployed, and it just seemed like the right thing to do."

The chairman admitted that Mr. Ray had no public relations experience but stated Mr. Ray said that he is a close personal friend of Phyllis Bailey . The chairman said that Ms. Bailey was a talk show host and is now Editor of East Texas Connection and he felt that talent just rubs off.

The chairman went on to say that they wanted someone that had a good understanding of East Texas. He said that with the exception of the time that Mr. Ray has been at the Big House, he has spent most of his time in the area.

It has been reported that Mr. Ray is currently reviewing local bars to establish a baseline for some of the reviewing he hopes to do while on the Left Coast. He could not be reached for comment.

Mr. Ray is scheduled to report for work on Sunday and will be reporting to you daily throughout ETTO’s visit to the Bay Area.
