Tonight's Lil' Flip rap concert is only the beginning of what organizers say they have in store for Marshall.
The concert is being organized and promoted by a nonprofit organization, Lifestyle Enrichment Enterprises, and King of Kings Enterprises, a promotion company.
"We want to help lead youth to better their skills and give them positive success," said Dr. Priscilla Feldsher, director of Lifestyle Enrichment Enterprises.
She said the concert is a preview to what she hopes will become an annual event with the East Texas Music Conference scheduled for Nov. 11-13 in Marshall. That event will be co-sponsored by Janet Washington, director for provisions for JC, another nonprofit organization.
