But it's not. Each piece was inspired by the hand and mind of one local woman, Mildred Carlile. Because she is an avid supporter of the museum and arts in general, this exhibit was made to praise Ms. Carlile for a lifetime of not only painting, but for her part in keeping the fine arts alive in Harrison County.

"She has long been a major patron of our museum and actually the driving force in the museum being established here in Marshall. We just want to honor her and thank her in some way for all she's done," said Susan Spears, the Michelson's director.
