Re-entering the wicket, wicket world of croquet

Last year I wrote this story about my first encounter with croquet. I am re-publishing the story. I have posted new photos but my feeling about the sport remains the same. And now the story --- Some decades ago I played football and was taught that croquet was a girly-man sport. After spending four hours photographing the Starr Family Mansion Croquet Tournament on Saturday I have changed my opinion about croquet. This is in part due to the information provided to me by seasoned croquet sports photographer Scott Brunner. Its true! I now find a well executed ROQUET CROQUET every bit as exciting as the scoring of a touchdown. This sport can knock your socks off as evidenced in the photograph of Richard Anderson.
