Problems began in May when one of the library's outdated servers crashed, she said.

So the library – always strapped for money – bought a second-hand server to take the dead server's place.

The second-hand server also began crashing. "It comes and goes," Harmon said, noting that the used server was operational on Friday.

Harmon said she will ask Marshall city commissioners, at Thursday's meeting, to give the library $10,000. The money, she said, will buy a server powerful enough to take the place of the dead (and used) server and another server that is so old the company will no longer provide repair service.
