Smith retains city chairman's job

Ed Smith was re-elected mayor at Thursday night's city commission meeting. Three commissioners who tend to vote with Smith on other issues voted for him and he voted for himself and three voted against him. Commissioners Jack Hester, John Wilborn and Alonza Williams voted for Smith.
Commissioners Katie Jones, Ed Carlile and Bryan Partee voted against the mayor.
