Pipeline explosion rocks county

An explosion early Friday lifted about 200 feet of a 36-inch underground natural gas pipeline to the surface, scorched patches of ground and woke residents miles away. "It was brighter than day about there," said Henry McQueen, who lives a tenth of a mile from the two-year-old Entergy power plant in the Lebrock community on Texas 43. "And the roar, I don't know how to describe it. There could be me and you screaming at each other, and we couldn't hear each other." -5/13-
