Texas State Technical College Celebrates 40th Birthday

Texas State Technical College will celebrate a milestone in providing technical education throughout the state of Texas at a 40th anniversary celebration event on April 22, 2005 at the Marshall Civic Center. World champion barrel racer Martha Josey will be the keynote speaker. In keeping with the theme of serving Texas with technical education, a Texas style cuisine of barbeque and all the fixings will be served. Josey will be joined by Grady Lee, local singer and song writer who will entertain those in attendance. A trick roper and Lees chuck wagon will add to the serving Texas theme.
The anniversary event will also mark the 100th anniversary of Rotary International. The Downtown Marshall Rotary Club has lent its support to TSTC Marshall with its members selling tickets and promoting the celebration. Other sponsors include Texas Bank and Trust, Entergy, Southside Bank, the City of Marshall, AEP/SWEPCO, Glazers Family of Companies and MECAR USA, Inc. -4/20-
