Early voting for the May 7 city and school board election begins today at the Harrison County Elections Office at 415 E. Burleson St. and ends May 3, according to Elections Administrator Pam Brock.
Voting begins when the office opens at 8 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The office is open during the noon hour, Ms. Brock said.
Residents may now send their applications for a ballot by mail and applications will be accepted until April 29.
Voters can call the election office and request an application, which must then be mailed back.
Ballots by mail will be counted through election day, she said.
