Miracle baby nears MHS graduation
When Douglas Weir was born Dec. 20, 1985, the newspaper headlines called him a "miracle baby." In the 19 years since then, he's exceeded everyone's expectations by turning out perfectly normal.
Douglas was born two months premature. His mother's placenta had separated from her uterine wall, depriving his tiny body of oxygen; when he was born, skin that should have been pink was almost black instead. -3/19-
