Local lawyer works to bring majesty back to old courtroom

Marshall lawyer Michael Smith has spent about seven years in a courtroom that doesn't yet exist. Smith, who is on the Courthouse Preservation Council, is heading a committee charged with helping recreate the historic courtroom in the Old Harrison County Courthouse. A former president of the Harrison County Historical Museum, Smith describes himself as a "big-time" history buff. He can speak at length about the old courthouse, but says the courtroom particularly interests him because of his profession. -3/6-
