Long-time incumbent Aloza Williams is being challenged for his seat on the City Commission.
Allin, 53, said he is running because he wants Marshall to be the best place to live and work.
Allin said My business background taught me that change is good. I believe it is time for the city commissioners to have some new thoughts and that is the change I am proposing. Marshall has somme issues that need resolved.
Allin , chairman of the newly-created Marshall Image Advisory Board, said some of the issues include improving our existing economic environment and obtaining better paying positions. There has been a lot of talk but not much has happened.
Allin said that he believes that his work experience qualifies him the take on these challenges. Allin was formerly vice-president of Bovis Lend Lease, one of the 10 largest construction companies in the worlds. He now does consulting work for large construction companies.
