City makes bid for water

Marshall's financial proposal to buy Lake O' the Pines water from the Northeast Texas Municipal Water District has been sent to district officials, and board members are expected to act on the proposal Monday, according to city and district officials.
Walt Sears, the water district's general manager, said he believes Marshall's financial terms are generally acceptable to board members, but other parts of the agreement will need negotiation. -2/24-
