If and when the federal government approves the routes, the corridor will extend between 1,000 and 1,200 feet wide the equivalent of the length for four football fields in many areas and will contain six railroad tracks, four truck lanes and six high speed automobile lanes, plus utility easements, according to Edward Pensock Jr., director of turnpike corridor systems for the Texas Department of Transportation.
