New Year's was a collaborative effort with 'Dream Big' message

On New Year's Eve, a crowd of downtown revelers, estimated in the thousands, knew that the ball hanging from Hotel Marshall would fall as they counted in 2005. But the next event was a surprise. Lights spelling out "Dream Big" flashed on from the hotel's windows, immediately below the rooftop garden. Christina Anderson, coordinator for the hotel's New Year's Eve events, arranged the message. The words will remain in the windows until Jan. 17, Martin Luther King Day.
