Caddo Country: Christmas tree tradition helps make season jolly By DOROTHY GRANT Thursday, December 23, 2004 Tis the Season to be jolly! That little phrase echoes down through the years wherever one might live. One of the jolliest traditions in most families is the Christmas tree, starting with your own childhood when you had a great part in finding just the right tree out in the woods with the whole family. The tree had to be just the right size, shape, and it didn't matter if it was cedar or pine. It was always good to have permission of the landowner to hunt for the special tree!
