Dwight Shellman planning to retire from Caddo Institute
UNCERTAIN Dwight Shellman was doing what he does best Friday. Guiding a flotilla of boats down Big Cypress Bayou to Marshall's water intake, explaining its impact on Caddo Lake, talking, talking, talking about the lake that has been his life for more than 10 years.
Shellman, president and co-founder of The Caddo Institute, may be less available in the near future. He plans to work part-time by early next year and then totally retire.
Shellman is also ending his second and final term as U.S. National Ramsar Committee chairman this spring.
