driving west into marshall on highway 80 as you cross us-59, there is a red sign on the right - easttexastowns.com with a design underneath - to me the design looks like a red 'jock-strap' - can someone explain to me the meaning of the sign and design?

When football season started, business owners were asked to paint the town red for the Mavs. We had an artist paint the sign and it is often featured on our website (EastTexasTowns.com) with the line, "WE support our Team." It means nothing more than home town spirit for the Mavericks, but gets your attention huh?
