More customers are searching online before they dine

Online restaurant directories have heretofore largely been skeletal affairs lists of restaurants, their hours and addresses, along with the occasional logo indicating credit card acceptance or wheelchair access.
But Web-savvy entrepreneurs are looking to put some meat on those bones offering digital dining directories that feature everything from searches by menu ingredient (Looking for a dish with cilantro?) to streaming video of chef-produced favorites.
Of course, restaurant-focused Web sites are nothing new. For years they've served as advertising and marketing vehicles for the nation's 508,000 eating and drinking establishments.
