"Where is the authority for the city council to outlaw smoking in a private establishment&those who smoke have a right to their personal choices. Those who don't like it can do as I do and not resort to the law to get what they want at the expense of others" Speak Out, June 24, 2007
The quote above came from the Speak Out column last week. It kind of typifies the mentality. A lot of "I" and "my" shows up in this argument. It's my right to smoke.
Going by the quote above, if you like it and want to do it, go ahead. Its YOUR life, right? I feel like I need to put a "dag-nabit" in there. Besides, what right does the federal government have to tell me I cannot drink three cases of vodka and drive??? How am I going to get home, man???
