Boaters on Caddo Lake were being asked Sunday to be mindful of a fragile shoreline jeopardized by smothering rains in recent days.

The office manager at Caddo Lake State Park also reported the boat ramp there had been closed since Friday.

Texas Parks and Wildlife administrative clerk Aaron Applebaum said a game warden and Harrison County deputies were out on the lake Sunday asking boaters not to cast wakes toward the shore, which is in danger of significant erosion.
