Rick Perry's Economic Development and Tourism Office also plans to include South Padre Island, San Antonio, Houston, the Hill Country, Big Bend, Palo Duro Canyon and the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in three television and 10 print ads in the campaign. The promotion, "Texas: It's Like A Whole Other Country," aims to boost the state tourism industry that prompted visitors to spend $41.4 billion in 2002.
