Bush cites a "moral line" he will not allow to be crossed that would have the government paying for the destruction of human embryos for research. We think he is misstating the case. The embryos are going to be destroyed, no doubt about it. The bill would allow the stem cells within the embryos to be used to help treat human disease rather than being simply destroyed.

To us, it is far more immoral to throw the embryos in the trash rather than attempt to help others who are in need.
