Letter to Editor: The Condition of Greenwood Cemetery
For 81 years I have supported Marshall, Texas but after a short visit recently, all I can remember now is the condition of Greenwood Cemetery. A few years ago Mayor Kariel worked hard to get a plan to keep Greenwood clean. My Brother and I gave money to this cause and the city was going to continue to care for the Cemetery. I have been reading about the push to get tourist to come to Marshall but please do not tell them about the historical Greenwood Cemetery. With all the wrought iron fences around lots, and one of the oldest Cemeteries in Marshall and Texas. Most all Cities take pride in their Cemeteries and for people visiting ETBU it will be hard to believe Marshall is a caring City.
