I have very strong views on secondhand smoke. Marshall's City Commission is presently looking into a no smoking ordinance in public buildings. I think that is good. I agree with them except for the limitation of being 30 feet away from a building. That does not fly with me. I think smoking should be allowed outside if an individual chooses to do so.

Smoking is a topic that is constantly addressed by the media, yet we rarely hear the flip side of the coin.

First of all, let me start out by saying this. I smoke although I detest cigarettes but unfortunately I am addicted to nicotine. I never smoke nor sit in the smoking section of a restaurant. If I choose to smoke I always ask the company around me if they mind. If they object, I won't light up. Contrary to what the "significant" people in my life think, I think I am a considerate smoker. I do believe smoking cigarettes is not good for you, and I agree it is in fact a definite health hazard.
