As much as the rain might have been needed Sunday, the late-morning shower almost put a damper on little Emily Brown's birthday celebration.
That was hard to tell by late afternoon, though, as the sun shone down on Emily, who was drip-drying in a fold-out chair while nibbling on a peanut butter-filled milk chocolate candy, after having swam in the oversized fountain for a few hours.
"We knew it (the storm) was going to blow over," said Luke Davis, Emily's uncle, who brought Emily along with around 21 others out to Marshall's newly renovated City Park in order to celebrate Emily's third birthday.
