Does Marshall City Management Want to Encourage Business maybe not!
On October 30th the Marshall News Messenger published an article entitled Questions surround need for a backflow valve for carbonated drink dispenser.
The article discusses the Citys efforts to force merchants to install backflow valves that are believed to cost between $600 and $1200.
According to this article the City Manager now believes the State does not require the valve be placed on soda machines. This turnaround is in part due to the work of Environmental Consultant Henry Bradbury. Although he does not have a dog in this fight, he took the time to do the research, collect the data and present it to the City Manager. Clearly, the City Management was ready to impose a non-requirement on city businesses.
