In March 2003 the downtown live music series Words & Voices began as a Weisman Center Production to promote artists and their original works. 'Works' because as founders of the series, Grady Lee and Christie Wright realized it isn't just all about the music. It's about the words and the emotions behind those words that make a number one song, a well know poem, an O List book - its about the person and the story they are trying to tell. Thus the name Words & Voices. Through the years we have had songwriters, we have had musicians, we have had poets, storytellers, comedians, bands----
