More than 120 people help green up City Park Saturday By SANDRA CASON, News Messenger The community's volunteer spirit shone through Saturday morning as more than 120 area residents showed up to install thousands of plants at City Park. A very pleased president of Friends of Parks Gail Beil said: "People just showed up." That translated into a before-noon completion time for a job that had been expected to take all day.
