Marshall's brand may be announced as early as next week, according to Tourism Task Force Project Manager Ron Munden.
"Destination Development is within a day or two of identifying the brand," Munden said.
The announcement came at a special City Commission meeting held Tuesday afternoon. The Marshall City Commission and the Marshall Tourism Task Force Steering Committee met to discuss the status of the tourism project.
Destination Development Inc. is expected to unveil Marshall's brand and logo the first week of April. During the 30 days after the brand announcement DDI will begin selecting people to be named to the new board of the proposed Convention and Visitors Bureau. DDI's plan is to have the board endorsed by the city commission before the first week of May when the draft of the final plan is presented.
