Green was the color of the day and corned beef and cabbage was the fare at Marshall's annual Irish Festival.
The event began with a parade that left the downtown courthouse square at 10:30 a.m. and ended at festival headquarters near the Ginocchio Hotel.
There, participants wearing the green enjoyed hauntingly familiar Irish melodies rendered via Jim McCutchen's harmonica and Tim Glennon's voice.
The eighth child of 12 born to a first generation Irish immigrant and New York City policeman, Glennon has been making music a la Celtic-style since he was in high school. He currently resides in Shreveport, La.
