Madi Art comes to Marshall -- WOW!

This wonderful art work is going to be installed on the west wall of the Wood Building. The building is across the street (north) from the First Methodist Church and east of CapitalOne Bank. The work is an international movement called Madi Art. It originated in South America in the 1940s. The pieces you see in these photographs were on a building in Dallas. The building has been sold and the former owner gave the pieces back to the artist. The artist is giving them to the Michelson Museum of Art. I feel that this is a wonderful way to make an art statement for our community. Something that everyone can enjoy. Bright, cheerful, fresh, playful. No message - just art.
