About the only time when we wish ill on our neighbors to the west is when the Longview Lobos are playing our beloved Mavericks in football. Otherwise, when something bad happens in Longview, it does not mean anything good for Marshall. The communities are tied that closely together. So we get no pleasure over the difficulty Longview is having developing a brand even more so because Marshall is in exactly the same process right now.
