Arts patron Wendy Reves dies -- comments by Mary Jane Sanders
Wendy Reves is the patron who Connie Ware told me "Marshall is not big enough for Wendy Reves and me both". Wendy Reves gave the first money for the first Wonderland of Lights. She also bought and donated the Wonderland Trolley. Wendy Reves brought Janine Michelson and her husband's Michelson Art here for the first art museum. It was called the Michelson-Reves Art Museum. True she is a grand dame, a prima donna, demanding and hard to get along with. Marshall has chosen to forget her.
