Tourism Task Force Manager Ron Munden announced his resignation from the position during Monday's meeting at Marshall City Hall.

A lack of willingness by other city boards and committees to accept Destination Development's recommendations for increasing tourism and the slow process the task force is taking in endorsing the company's recommendations to the Marshall City Commission were among the reason Munden gave for his decision.

"We are seeing so much politics played here, " Munden said. "Everything we are going to do from this point forward will be labor intensive. I'm not willing to spend any more time on this process."
