It appears to me that three very strong organizations are finally working together on an important Marshall issue. It is great to witness City Government, MEDCO, and the Marshall Chamber of Commerce all working together.

Now for the bad news. What are they working for but to maintain the status quo when it comes to tourism and of course, the City of Marshall and its power structure. These three groups even have a motto for their efforts "When it's broke, leave it that way."

City Government lead by Frank Johnson doesn't want change. Is this pay back time to the Marshall Chamber and its support for his raise? Or is it payback to MEDCO who doesn't want an organization that may use our hotel taxes to create an industry they don't believe exists. Or does Frank believe that City Government based on its track record of over sight of the Chamber's Tourism money or Main Street is really the team that can create a Marshall tourism industry?
