Bill Moyers, award-winning journalist and native son, will return to Marshall March 9 for public appearances to benefit the Harrison County Historical Museum.
He is coming, he said, to honor his friend and former The Marshall News Messenger colleague, the late Max Lale.
He will be speaking at 6:30 p.m. at the Marshall Civic Center, followed by a reception in his honor at The Marshall, the city's renovated downtown hotel.
At 10 that morning, Moyers will be at a book signing in the museum's temporary headquarters at the Ginocchio Hotel, at the head of North Washington Avenue.
In addition to his latest book, "Moyers on America," a limited number of others he has authored will be available for sale that morning.
