Would you want to be known as Martians?

Would most Marshallites be willing to change the name of Marshall to Mars Hall and forevermore be known as "Martians," for the sake of luring tourists to the city?
Not likely, Destination Development, Inc. President Roger A. Brooks said Thursday evening at the highly-anticipated branding workshop to pinpoint a stamp for the city to increase tourism.
The verdict? Marshall does not have a brand yet, but Brooks is encouraged by the idea of a performing arts brand, which will be narrowed down within two weeks.
At least 130 people filled the Big Cypress Room of Marshall Civic Center to hear what citizens offered Brooks and tourism consultant John Kelsh as possible brand ideas.
