The committee which I chaired, focused on identifying and addressing key hurdles to short and long term downtown redevelopment. One such area, is the need for an overall plan providing guidance on direction for redevelopment. Essentially, a document created through public input process complimented by professional guidance that aids in defining what we want downtown to be "when it grows up". Such tool is not only valuable to assist with focusing local efforts, but is key to recruiting additional business and investment to downtown and the city.
