Each day I will post photos from my eight days in the Galapagos Islands
This is the westernmost realm of the Galapagos. Here the frigid waters of the deep Cromwell Current, also known as the Equatorial Counter current, rise up along the western edge of the undersea Galapagos Platform. These extraordinary conditions are also at the heart of a very rich marine ecosystem, at times attracting whales and dolphins to the region.
