The Pulpwood Queens partied at the first official event of Girlfriend Weekend as more than 60 authors were presented at the media party in the Weisman Center in downtown Marshall.

Pulpwood Queen founder Kathy Patrick donned a tiara over a fur headband as she mingled with the authors, Pulpwood Queens of all ages and the media Friday afternoon. Under The Texas Sun hosted a Viu Manent wine tasting , while DC Stanfa, author of "The Art of Table Dancing," passed out samples of Margarita salt. The Pulpwood Queens lived up to their motto of "Where tiaras are mandatory and reading good books is the RULE."
