In late November Destination Development, the tourism consultants we selected, were in town and held two meetings. In the first meeting Mr. Roger Brooks reported on the results of their assessment of the City. He said that they found many problems but they found even more potential. The second meeting was on "branding." Mr. Brooks defined branding and why it is so important. He also provided many case studies. Most of the cities discussed had been successful. Some were not. At the conclusion of the second meeting, everyone was encouraged to provide Destination Development input on how Marshall should be branded.
