On Dec. 14, I stood in front of Marshall's city commissioners and told them it's the city staff's obligation to get along with citizens, not visa versa.
This was greeted as a revolutionary idea.
I addressed this issue because City Manager Frank Johnson opposed Henry Bradbury's reappointment to the city's Main Street advisory board on the grounds Bradbury does not, allegedly, work well with him.
When I pointed out it's our public servants' duty to, in fact, SERVE the public, and be agreeable to those whose ideas and personalities might not always suit them, you should have seen the thunderclouds gather on our commissioners' faces.
