Jefferson: Texian Woman
The acclaimed one-woman play "Texian Woman" will be presented on Saturday, Nov 25, at 8 pm in The Living Room Theatre located at 112 Vale St in downtown Jefferson.

The play is based on the unpublished memoirs of Harriet Potter Ames and early Texas pioneer once the wife of Texas navy secretary and bad boy of the Republic Robert Potter. Playwright and actress Marcia Thomas portrays the much-maligned Harriet as a young woman who ages to an old woman of 83 years during the two hour presentation without changing costume or makeup. She also portrays other people of both genders during the show which is written in two acts. The play is in its twentieth year of performance and has been seen by many hundreds of people of all ages in Jefferson as well as around the Ark La Tex and Caddo Lake.

Seating in the small 25-seat theatre is limited and early purchases are advised. The play will also be performed on Dec. 2 and 9. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 903-665-2310.
