“We are a democracy, of the people, for the people and by the people. We are not run by a group of millionaire politicians. We can say what we want and it stands. How can we call ourselves a democracy when we let a group of 80 or 90 people tell us what to do?

This without any doubt is my biggest pet peeve. We are Americans and we do not live in a democracy, we live in a Constitutional Republic. Recite the Pledge of Allegiance to our flag and you will hear the verse, “and to the Republic, for which it stands.” There is no mention of the, “democracy for which it stands.”
