A year ago if you had asked me my party preference I would have said I am a Republican. No more as I have abandoned the Republican Party. Friends ask, “so are you now an Independent?” My answer is no, I am an American. A Democratic State Representative from another county commented, “I hate you Republicans who are fed up with the Bush administration, so you call yourself Americans.”

Now that the election is over I will explain my feelings reflected in the following chain of events that I called, “Eating with the Parties”, until a Democratic friend of mine related his family’s experience and how he coined the phrase, “Republicans will Run Over Little Children.”
